The intervention in Africa is at the center of the activities of SMOM which since 2004 has combined health and socio-economic development, an indissoluble combination. Because hunger and poverty are still the number one cause of disease in the world. As an association of sanitary ware we intervene on all the determining factors of health with country intervention programs that provide for the implementation of projects: construction, university, school, business and health projects for the improvement of the quality of life in communities that often live on the verge of survival. The organization is particularly active in 6 sub-Saharan African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Madagascar, Central African Republic and Tanzania) with development cooperation programs and projects. Supporting projects for local institutional and private realities to work, build and grow together. The training of health professionals and with them the creation of national health systems for oral health is the major association commitment.
